CDN Selected as a Finalist for IT Innovation Award

18 March 2015

Car Delivery Network (CDN) has been selected as one of three finalists for the IT Innovation category of the North American Automotive Supply Chain Awards 2015.

CDN was nominated based on it’s work in the finished vehicle sector with OEMs and haulaway carriers implementing electronic proof-of-delivery (EPOD).  CDN’s vinDELIVER mobile wireless application has quickly become one of the most popular EPOD solutions in the auto transport sector.

Greg May, CDN President and CEO, said,  “CDN is honored by the nomination and we are very excited to be among the finalists for this award.  A key part of the CDN mission has been to transform the automotive logistics industry through the use of mobile application technology to eliminate paperwork.  Our success with EPOD is the first milestone in our longer term goal of a network of shippers and carriers connected through our cloud-based platform.”

CDN currently has approximately 150 auto transport companies using the vinDELIVER mobile app to report vehicle deliveries in North America.  Our carrier customers account for approximately 1,250 trucks and drivers actively using the vinDELIVER app.  Our carriers are currently reporting vehicle deliveries electronically in real-time to four major OEMs.  Unit volumes currently being reported through vinDELIVER are running approximately 80,000 units per month. (March 2015). By the end of 2015, CDN anticipates unit volumes will reach a run rate of 250,000 - 300,000 units per month.
